Yoga Classes at BDC

Join us for our inspiring Vinyasa yoga classes grounded in safety and proper alignment by Yoga Alliance certified instructor Stacey Wawrzyniec, RYT 200. 

What is Vinyasa?

In Vinyassa yoga the asanas (postures) are linked together in a series of movements that are synchronized with the breath. Much emphasis is placed on the breath and the transition in and out of the asanas. The continual movements, from one pose to another, gives you an added cardiovascular benefit, which more traditional forms of yoga do not have. Vinyasa yoga offers much diversity. The pace can vary and there is no one particular sequence that instructors must follow. This flexibility allows the instructor to tailor the sequences to the class.

What are the benefits of yoga?

Physical benefits of yoga include increased muscle strength, endurance, flexibility, balance and posture. Yoga also improves circulation, lowers blood pressure and reduces levels of stress. Your mind also benefits from yoga by improving concentration, calming the nervous system and increasing present awareness.
